Having cut his own teeth in the small business world, Tim Empringham is the Key resource to our client base. Tim is known as a translator who can speak the languages of business, operations, technology, and marketing with equal ease and who can help members of each group to understand each other in their own terms.
Tim started his first company at the ripe age of 14, joining forces with two friends to form a local entertainment company providing DJs and other entertainment for corporate parties, school dances, and weddings. Partners Disc Jockey Service achieved success playing regularly to elementary and secondary school dances and corporate functions throughout the Niagara Region and even getting called to play a weekend-long outdoor fundraiser for Sport By Ability Niagara at Montabello Park in St. Catharines.
Leveraging his knowledge from his first venture, after spending some time at McMaster University in the Computer Engineering program, then taking a couple of regular 9-to-5 jobs, Tim again ventured out on his own with the formation of Total PC Services in 1997. Applying his love for technology and computers, Tim delivered IT solutions including hardware, software, networks, and maintenance to small businesses throughout the Niagara Region. By 2001, after the boom of Y2K, Tim was approached by a local retail computer operation that was looking to branch into the corporate space and he sold his company at that time, staying on as General Manager of the new company for five further years.
Since that time, Tim has held a series of interesting positions from Manager of Information Systems leading the technology and process development initiatives for the acquirer of a storied Canadian aerospace manufacturer, to leading the professional services team with an integration software developer servicing the supply chain space, to a business leader in a financial services software company.
In his free time, Tim has completed his MBA at Brock University with academic excellence resulting in his induction into the Beta Gamma Sigma international honour society and participated in several public committees and community organizations.
